About Jennie

Hello,

I am a lecturer/trainer, psychotherapist, counsellor and hypnotherapist and I have over 25 years of experience in working with vulnerable people.

I am passionate about helping people to develop their potential, whether it is through counselling and psychotherapy or counselling supervision and CPD workshops..

My approach is holistic and integrative, drawing upon a range of approaches in order to meet individual client’s needs rather than using a prescriptive “one package suits all’

My special interests are bereavement and loss. My work and also my own research, has led me to believe that loss is a subject that affects everyone and is frequently an unresolved issued for many people.

I have previously appeared on Radio Solent, to discuss young people today and in the Poole Echo to discuss stress in the workplace. I have also contributed to professional journal articles and written profession book reviews.

Below are just some of the examples of issues I work with:

  • Bereavement and loss

  • The birth process

  • Relationships

  • Assertiveness and Confidence

  • Addictions

  • Abuse

  • Smoking

  • Weight

  • OCD and Phobias

  • Depression

Other areas that I help with are:

  • Spiritual guidance and healing

  • Mindfulness and mediation
